First... I'm not big on 'self help' books. I've long been a critic of people in academic or professional ivory towers droning on about the things we should do to 'figure out our lives.' I took a risk picking this book, but I chose it specifically because it was written by a real person, someone who I believed, would share the REAL truth about his REAL experiences.

I was not disappointed. And page by page, I discovered myself in this person's shoes, walking, talking, learning, laughing, crying a few times, sobbing once or twice, and then... smiling, smiling that everything that we experience in our lives as people, and certainly me, as a gay man, are designed to bring us closer to our truth, the ultimate truth, and that is this idea of being 'enough.'

Whether you're an overachiever who seems to find success at every turn, but still feel empty. Or, you're a person who is still unclear about your purpose, what it all means, why you're 'here', and not 'there', or whatever... this book will force you to take a hard look under all the rocks, in all the dark corners, and most importantly, directly at you. It will challenge you to examine yourself with BRUTAL honesty. And then accept yourself with ZERO judgment.

The 'goodness' that you'll recognize within yourself by taking this journey with Todd, will reinforce that confidence you've always had, but maybe displaced, hid away or dimmed, because you didn't think you deserved it.
