You've gotta read what I found!

For nearly half a century I played a complex and exhausting game of HIDE & SEEK with the truth. Hiding my sexuality in relationships, careers, and achievements that ultimately suffered because I was not living authentically.

As a result, my fear greatly influenced my choices leading me to hide my gifts and talents, abandon my faith, and choose a smaller existence.  I’ve found this to be true of many people struggling with fear and uncertainty because the adaptive skills we’ve developed to protect us from bias and prejudice, ultimately end up doing us harm. Fear will lead to compromised integrity, silenced voices, and erosion our truth detrimental to our families, jobs, and communities.

We’re not born afraid – we're taught it when we run into the fears and belief systems of others. This idea doesn’t relieve us of responsibility for our choices, but it does however beg the question – where do our fears come from? Or better yet, from whom do they come from?

Come with me into our hiding places to find truth, heal wounds, and expose fear for the fraud it is. There’s no truth in our fear.
